Edge Electronics Celebrates its 20th Anniversary on Long Island

First established in 1990, Edge Electronics has shown major growth, and even greater growth potential, as it enters its 20th year in business. The company, which is a distributor of electronic components and an LCD solution provider, is a woman owned business, making it a stand-out on the Island, as well as in the electronics industry.
Edge was built from the ground up with the goal of creating a company with the best customer service in the industry. Starting with three employees in their first small office, they have since expanded to over 30 employees and moved their corporate headquarters to a new, and much larger, state-of-the-art facility in Bohemia, where all aspects of accounting, warehousing, purchasing, and management take place. Edge also employs sales people in eight states other than New York (Arizona, California, Florida, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Tennessee).
Headed by Adrienne Giannone, a board member of LISTnet (Long Island Software & Technology Network), Edge is certified as a Women's Business Enterprise (WBE) by the Women's Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC). Being classified as a woman-owned small business has contributed to the company’s growth by facilitating partnerships with companies and agencies that maintain supplier diversity programs.
Edge Electronics has also made a commitment to community service and has received many awards and accolades for their work. Their annual golf outing, a tradition the company has sponsored for the past five years, has raised over $100,000 to support the fight against breast cancer on Long Island. Edge continues to be a powerful force in the Long Island economy and hopes to further expand their standing in the local business community.
