Edge Electronics Announces New Product Manager February 2008
Edge Electronics announced today the appointment of Michael Fiore as Product Manager, who will be contributing to the annual business plan for franchised lines, delivering monthly forecasts, and managing inventory and price negotiations.
“Mr. Fiore has been a key player in the electronics industry for more than 30 years; he will bring new ideas and innovation to Edge Electronics in 2008 and beyond,” said Michael Pollina, Director of Product Marketing, “I look forward to working with him.”
Previously serving as Supplier Business Manager with Nu Horizons, Mr. Fiore was responsible for overall line management, implementing sales budgets and strategies, and putting out four key product lines, including: Micron, IDT, Marvell, and Digi International. Prior to his experience with Nu Horizons, Mr. Fiore served as Arrow Electronics’ Technology Business Manager.
“20-years of product management, combined with 10-years of sales experience have given me a good sense of what sales people need in order to be successful, from both product and sales perspectives,” says Mr. Fiore.

Touch International Announces New TI RoHS Capacitive Controller - June 7, 2006
Austin, TX - June 7, 2006 - Touch International proudly offers the newly available TI RoHS Capacitive Controller Board. RoHS is often referred to as the "Lead-free" directive, which was adopted by the European Union in 2003. Not only does the ROHS directive restrict the use of Lead, but also Mercury, Cadmium, Chromium VI, PBB, and PBDE.
Possible applications for the TI RoHS Controller Board include gaming, home entertainment, automobile accessories, amusement, GPS devices, and more! The TI RoHS Controller operates using an innovative technique which combines both analog and digital ground to one source, making the touch points accurate, fast, and very stable. Our new TI RoHS Controller is the only board available which may be configured by the user for RS-232 or USB (HID compliant) communication. It can use regulated or unregulated power from +5VDC to +16VDC, with typical current 80mA. TI Capacitive drivers are developed to support Microsoft Windows (including DOS), and Linux operating systems.

Low insertion loss and high durability are ensured by using a precise zirconia ceramic split sleeve insert. In addition, this adapter can be applied to the same panel pattern as a normal SC adapter without any modification.

WB3 SERIES CONNECTORS
The serve the growing market for PCI Express transmission, JAE has developed the WB3 series of parallel PCB-to-PCB connectors. With fine pitch and high pin count, this connector can transmit PCI Express (X16) signals, as well as TMDS, VGA, etc. all at once. The connector is also EMI shielded. The WB3 series is, of course, RoHS- compliant.
The series consists of a vertical, PCB-mounted plug and a vertical, PCB-mounted receptacle, available in stacking heights of either 4mm or 5mm. The contacts are 0.76um (30u”) gold-plated.
