Applied Concepts (ACI) supplies backlight drivers, dimming controls, light sensors, and display modification options. These parts work together around the selected LCD and its viewing conditions. We help coordinate the panel, power, controls, and connections with ACI, including requirements for high-brightness or night-vision-compatible displays.

Brightness and control for your display.

I-Drive LED drivers: Constant-current drivers power an LCD's LED backlight, with dimming configured for the display requirement. Match the panel's LED strings, input supply, and control signals to the selected driver.
High-brightness modifications: ACI modifies LCD backlights for the required viewing conditions. The panel, optical stack, available power, and heat management determine the configuration and brightness to evaluate.
NVIS displays: ACI offers night-vision-compatible display modifications with day and night operation. Review the required class, brightness control, and qualification for the specific display and finished equipment.
DIM-NIT dimming control: An accessory for controlling backlight brightness using analog or PWM signals. Review the existing driver, required dimming behavior, and control connections with ACI.
I-NIT light sensors: Ambient-light sensors provide an input for adjusting display brightness as surrounding light changes. Sensor placement and the brightness response need to suit the installation.
LED rails and modification kits: Backlight rails, drivers, and supporting materials for a display modification. Confirm the exact panel and kit contents, along with who will perform the assembly and validation.
CCFL inverters: Inverters supply the high-voltage drive for CCFL backlights, including equipment-specific replacement requirements. Send the panel, lamp, and existing inverter details for compatibility and availability review.
Cable and harness assemblies: Connections between the selected panel, backlight driver, and control electronics need to match the complete assembly. Include connector part numbers, pin assignments, cable length, and routing for review with ACI.

From viewing conditions to a display requirement.

Daylight readability, low-light operation, and night vision call for different display choices. We help define the requirement and work through ACI's options with you.

Panel and viewing conditions: Send the full panel model and revision, ambient light, required brightness, and operating temperature. For a modification, include the available power and enclosure space so ACI can review the optical and thermal requirements.
Driver, dimming, and connections: Include input voltage, backlight electrical requirements, analog or PWM controls, and any ambient-light sensor. Share connector drawings, pin assignments, and cable lengths; compatibility must be checked for the complete panel, driver, and controller combination.
Qualification and existing equipment: For NVIS, identify the required class, day/night behavior, and system qualification. For a repair or replacement, include the original inverter or driver number and equipment details so we can review the current options with ACI.
