Rubycon offers aluminum electrolytic capacitors, PZ-CAP hybrid capacitors, and PMLCAP polymer multi-layer capacitors, alongside power supply units. - Aluminum electrolytic capacitors
- Chip, radial-lead, and snap-in capacitors for filtering and energy storage in power circuits. Compare capacitance, ripple current, temperature, case size, and life under the intended operating conditions.
- PZ-CAP
- Rubycon's conductive-polymer hybrid aluminum capacitors combine a polymer cathode with a liquid electrolyte. Review ESR, ripple current, voltage, and temperature limits for power-rail filtering and smoothing.
- PMLCAP
- Rubycon's polymer multi-layer capacitors use a polymer dielectric in a layered construction. Consider them for signal and power circuits where capacitance behavior, electrical noise, and available space shape the choice.
- Metallized film capacitors
- Production phase-out announced: final orders scheduled for April 2028 and final delivery for March 2029. Review affected part numbers and timing with us.
- Power supply units
- Rubycon lists standard and custom switching power supplies alongside its capacitor range. Bring input and output requirements, mechanical constraints, and qualification needs so we can confirm the proposed offering through Edge.

- Include capacitance, working voltage and transients, ripple current and frequency, ambient temperature, and nearby heat sources. Review the chosen series at these conditions, including ESR and required operating life.
- Technology and mechanical fit
- Describe the role in the circuit, case dimensions, mounting, and assembly process. Compare electrolytic, hybrid, or PMLCAP candidates against that requirement; equal nominal capacitance and voltage do not establish an equivalent replacement.
- Metallized film phase-out
- Rubycon schedules final orders for the end of April 2028 and final delivery for the end of March 2029. Contact us to review affected part numbers and timing; PMLCAP remains a separate product family.
