At the Competitive Edge XXIV Annual Conference on July 25th, 2018, Edge Electronics Inc. President and CEO Adrienne Giannone received the WBE Award of Excellence.

The Competitive Edge Conference is an annual event hosted by the Competitive Edge Committee, a collection of individuals and organizations working in tandem to increase the selection and reach of authorized Minority and Women-Owned Business Enterprises throughout the region. The yearly event encourages networking and features various mentorship and business-related sessions about how to achieve company growth.

The 2018 conference theme was "Business Strategies: Sustainability, Resilience and Growth," focused on assisting minority and small businesses in strengthening their skills by teaching them how to create and take advantage of contract opportunities available in New York State and the tri-state area.

The WBE Award of Excellence is awarded each year to an individual who is recognized for continued successes and leadership within the Minority Business community. Adrienne continues to uphold Edge's founding values as the company conducts business as a successful relationship-driven distribution company in the electronic component, LCD, and MRO & industrial marketplaces.

Adrienne was joined by other esteemed entrepreneurs including; the President and CEO of Stellar Services Inc., Liang Chen, recipient of the MBE Award of Excellence; the President and CEO of Global Domestic Advisory Partners, LLC, Charlotte Hitchcock, recipient of the DBE Award of Excellence; the President and CEO of Strategic Response Initiatives LLC, Robert L. Domenici, recipient of the SDVOB Award of Excellence; and President of Diaz Electric of New York, Inc, Ana Diaz, recipient of the Clarence "Gene" Swanston Leadership Award.
